Minecraft on small servers hosted on your computer is great, but joining a populated world, or having a persistent world that you can drop in at any time with your friends is just different. Scrap Mechanic servers are all hosted on the latest hardware. Still, it confounds me how it could stay very entertaining for much longer than those couple of hours.I understand that dedicated servers are not a thing in SM at the moment or for the foreseeable future, and while that was not a big concern when only creative mode was around, I feel like now that survival is around the corner, it is now priority number one as far as the community is concerned.įor content creators, and groups of friends alike, it is a whole different thing when you have a persistent server up, and I feel like minecraft is a great exemple of that. Clearly this is OK though as the game currently holds a Very Positive rating on Steam, so you can't say it hasn't found its niche. It carries the playfulness of a casual game in its graphics and limited world, but it is definitely not a game for casual players. It's hard to tell who Scrap Mechanic is for exactly, at least when it comes to the wider demographics. It would be awesome to build a faction with your friends to destroy others. Why am I talking about a thing that isn't a game? Because it really reminds me of Scrap Mechanic. Will scrap mechanic have servers for multiplayer I think scrap mechinc could stay as just single player with multiplayer being when a friend joins, but I think it’s a better idea to also have servers for survival mode. Make a simple construction or join wheels and engines to build a car then ride it.
I never quite got to that level of expertise with it, but I believed it was possible. Evercraft Mechanic is an open world sandbox simulator where you can craft everything from the scrap. Im not a huge fan of session based multiplayer as we can only play that save file when that person wants to. On the box, it showed that you could make a robot T-Rex.
